Keihanna Science City was developed as a national project.
Home to state-of-the-art research institutes, universities and other educational institutions,
and corporate research facilities, it also includes Keihanna Commemorative Park, where residents can relax.

Keihanna Science City This city is comprised of 12 cultural and academic districts arranged like a cluster of grapes, in an area that straddles the borders of Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara prefectures.
Our hotel is located in Keihanna Plaza, in the heart of the Seika Nishikizu district.

Keihanna Commemorative Park

This park was constructed to commemorate the establishment of Keihanna Science City.
Designed on the theme of Japanese village scenery, it has a variety of areas to enjoy, including Suikei-en (Japanese garden), Mebuki no Mori (mountain village), and a terraced rice paddy field-style plaza.
Numerous seasonal events are also held here.

National Diet Library Kansai-kan

There are only two National Diet Libraries in all of Japan.
This library collects and preserves a vast range of domestic and international materials and information.

Vierra Town Commercial Facility (Approx. 1-min. walk) An open-air shopping mall located directly in front of the east entrance of Keihanna Plaza Hotel.
Here you can find the discount supermarket Lamu, which is open until midnight, as well as a drugstore, the 100-yen shop Daiso, a gas station, and a variety of eateries.

Rohto Field Nara

Rohto Field Nara (Konoike Athletic Field) is a Class 1 certified athletic field located in Konoike Athletic Park in Nara City.
It also serves as the starting and finishing areas for the Nara Marathon.

Yamashiro Sports Park (Taiyogaoka) is a comprehensive athletics park located in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture.
Many guests stay at our hotel while attending various sporting events and the annual summer concert, Mission Impossible Kyoto.
